I went straight into the field out of school — HVAC, plumbing, mechanical construction. The kind of work where you show up before sunrise and solve problems nobody warned you about.
Over 9 years, I worked my way from estimating to foreman to project manager across HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and general construction. I ran multi-million-dollar mechanical projects in NYC, managed 150+ jobs, and eventually became the sole PM responsible for an entire company's portfolio.
I was good at it. Multi-million-dollar projects, tight deadlines, crews that needed direction, GCs that needed answers yesterday. But I knew the trades weren't where I was going to stay.
What I realized was that the skills that made me a good PM — systems thinking, project management, understanding how all the pieces fit together — were exactly what most marketing agencies were missing. They could design a pretty website, but they couldn't think about marketing the way a contractor thinks about a build: what needs to happen first, what runs in parallel, and what the end result needs to look like.
So I made the pivot. I started a digital agency, built audiences totaling over 40 million views and 500K+ followers, and proved that the same operational mindset that runs a construction project can run a marketing campaign — except instead of delivering ductwork, I'm delivering leads.
Now, with Blue Collar Digital, I'm focused exclusively on the industry I came from. Contractors deserve a marketing partner who actually understands their business. That's what I built.
